She is One of the nine titled "ELITE" Universities of Germany.....and leading University in the field of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering,
In Technical University rating it is in Top 30 Universities in the world and its ranking is improving every year..

"Elite University" title was given to RWTH this year which is targeted at to provide more funding to RWTH so that she can join the line of top US Universities like HARVARD and MIT.

But in Europe she still enjoys the top position in Technology along with Imperial College London and ETH Zurich, RWTH is also member of IDEA league which is a union of leading European Universities of Technology.

So in Germany we can enjoy the reputation of this University and also the reputation of Mechanical Engineering, same as in US if some one is lawyer from Harvard Law School.

This is the reason I choose this University for PhD, Imperial College London was also very good option but Scholarship for UK was not sufficient enough to cover fee at Imperials, so I was given the option to join University of Glasgow which I turned down at that time, but now I am thinking that it was not a bad option too, cuz according to our people Good Universities are only in UK or US and German Universities are no where. If so why FORD is designing its CAR OF FUTURE in Aachen with RWTH and not with BOSTON or MIT.....

A Fatal Error

Now it seems a fatal error, which was supposed to be a 'clever decision'. I am very much frustrated. It can't be undone now, and even if it is possible to undo, price is high. At that time my mind was rotten and could not take an easy decision in right direction. Now I think selecting UK was better option. It is better in each aspect. I really don't know why I choose this country. If I choose to go to UK I have to pay lot of money, it can be about two Lac. Some times a small mistake leads to a devastating destruction....
